About us

 I am proud to introduce you to New Perspectives School, part of the Care Perspectives Group.

It is an exciting time for us as we are a brand-new Independent Special School opening in the Autumn of 2023.

We provide education to pupils aged 7-19 with social emotional and mental health difficulties who may have a range of complex needs. Many of our pupils will have had a disjointed education experience with gaps in learning which has been exasperated by the recent pandemic and will take time to settle into their new education environment.

New Perspectives School recognises that all students should have access to a broad and balanced curriculum, working at a level which is appropriate to their understanding, their chronological age and at a rate that suits their individual abilities. Learning and teaching is approached with the focus on the individual needs of the learners. Each student has a tailored curriculum based upon their baseline assessment, previous academic outcomes, and long-term learning targets. In addition to the academic curriculum, pupils are taught appropriate skills that are generalised to real life settings and pupils are taught the everyday skills needed to prepare for life in the wider world. High aspirations are held for all pupils. Our curriculum develops pupils’ experiences, knowledge, self- confidence, ability to communicate and independence.
